Who are we?

The service

Shy Pug turns your photos into coloring pages using artificial intelligence and lets you assemble a personalized coloring book as a PDF to print at home. Trying is free: your first page needs no account, and a free account lets you keep your pages, make more, and assemble them into a book. Downloading the print-ready PDF (and sharing a book) requires a Shy Pug Club membership, described below. Nothing is ever charged without your explicit agreement on Stripe's payment page — never any surprise fees.

The Shy Pug Club (paid membership)

• What it includes: downloading and sharing your PDF books without limit, and no daily cap on coloring pages, for as long as your membership is active.
• Plans and prices: monthly at $6 per month, yearly at $49 per year, or lifetime at $129 paid once. Prices are in US dollars, or in Canadian dollars for customers in Canada (same amounts), and are shown before you pay. Applicable sales taxes, if any, are added at checkout.
• Automatic renewal: the monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. The lifetime plan is a single payment and never renews.
• Cancelling: cancel any time from the Parents' corner ("Manage or cancel my membership"), which opens Stripe's secure customer portal. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is simply not renewed after that. No partial refund is made for the remaining days of a period.
• Money-back guarantee: if Shy Pug isn't what you expected, write to vincent@shypug.com within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, no questions asked. This doesn't limit any right you have under the Québec Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law.
• Payment processing: payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure page and never reach our servers. Stripe e-mails you a receipt for every payment; the charge appears on your card statement as "SHY PUG" (or "SHYPUG*").
• Price changes: if a price changes, we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days in advance; a period you already paid for is never affected, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
• Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and e-mails you; if it keeps failing, the membership ends at the end of the paid period and your books stay locked until a valid payment.

Your account

• The account is created and managed by an adult (parent or guardian). Children use Shy Pug under adult supervision.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity on your account.
• One account = your household, plus up to 10 friends and family you choose to share it with. No public sharing of credentials.

Your photos and your coloring pages

• Your photos remain yours. By uploading them, you grant us only the technical permission to store and transform them to provide the service — nothing else.
• You confirm you have the right to use the photos you upload (your family photos, not other people's without their consent).
• The generated coloring pages are yours for personal and family use (printing, coloring, gifting). Reselling generated coloring pages is not permitted.

Acceptable use

It is forbidden to upload content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or that endangers children, to attempt to bypass the service's technical limits (free tries, daily caps), or to disrupt its operation. We may suspend or block an account that breaks these rules.

AI-generated results

The coloring pages are drawn by an artificial intelligence: the result can occasionally be imperfect or surprising. You can rerun a transformation or retouch the result — that's built in, and sometimes half the fun.

Availability and liability

Shy Pug is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability. We do our best to keep everything running, but we cannot be held liable for indirect damages related to using the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the claim (zero dollars for the free features — but a lot of affection either way).

Account deletion

You can ask for your account, photos and coloring pages to be deleted at any time by writing to vincent@shypug.com. See also our privacy policy for the details of your rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec and Canada. Any dispute will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Québec.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, the date above will be updated and significant changes will be flagged on the site.
